Voodoo is one mean mother of a wave that can handle a solid 15-foot south swell. When the beaches are 6-foot, this south swell magnet can be 8- to 10-foot and pack a serious, Hawaiian-style punch. Best in northwest winds, it also handles the afternoon nor'easter. You can forget about it in strong westerly winds. It's optimum at low to mid tide. The take-off is a gnarly, ledgy bowl and the wave actually grows in size as it heads down the line. Read more
