The Point Surf Guide

Though it's technically part of Maria's, The Point is really the top section of the wave, right in front of the exposed chunk of reef. The wave itself tends to be a high-line wall, and as such, requires some down-the-line speed right from the takeoff, except on a strong northwest swell where it'll bowl and jack and tube. When it's big it can connect with Maria's proper. Because it's so easy to line up, the crowd can get pretty fierce.
