The Park Surf Guide

About 30 minutes from Vizag on the coast road is a roadside park at the base of a prominent mountain. In front is The Park with a rock reef. Featuring a thick wedging right, it's sort of a point and sort of a reef break. This is the most powerful wave in this part of Andhra Pradesh.

Featuring a heavy section that throws on the takeoff, followed by several quirky sections over submerged boulders into the beach, the wave then backs off in a series of rock pools before the sand. Water is reasonably clean here, as there are no villages following "ancestral practice."
