Ral Island Surf Guide
This is the last-resort destination when the swell is too small for everywhere else, but the conditions are good. Ral is a tiny uninhabited swell-magnet island a few miles southwest from Kavieng, west of Edmago Island. While wide-open to adverse winds, Ral usually has something to surf, and it can get quite good, letting you choose from the right off one side of the island or the left that breaks off the other side. A playful, beautiful spot that's easy for everyone. The only bummer is getting there requires a fairly long boat ride from Nusa Island Retreat.

What it lacks in quality it makes up for with consistency. When the surrounding spots are starved for swell, there is usually something to surf here.
