Playa Langosta Surf Guide

While there are a bunch of fun waves just south out of Tamarindo, Playa Langosta is usually one of the better bets. Located about a mile south of downtown Tamarindo, Langosta is a stretch of consistent beachbreak highlighted by a wide rivermouth that can be really fun all year long when Southern Hemi is in the water. The main peak off the rivermouth can get crowded, but it's generally not as intense as spots in Tamarindo or at Playa Grande. The wave itself is steep and shifty; great for rebounds and big carves.
