Mwahnd Pass Surf Guide

During smaller, short-period swells, and when the trade winds die down, the two waves flanking this S-shaped channel can be your best option for fun surf. The right is punchy and playful through the main section as the tide fills in, but at higher tides it shuts down. With bigger swells it has a tendency to get unruly from refraction and current, and when the tide changes, the pass turns into an out-flowing river. The left is peakier and more user-friendly than the right, offering many sections, occasionally lining up for long rides. The reef inside is shallow, and at lower tides on bigger days, you can easily get caught on top of it.
