Maycocks Surf Guide

Maycocks is located on the northwest side of Barbados. As such, N or NNW swells are needed to turn the wave on. When those swells are hitting, Maycocks can offer a long, lined-up right with barrel sections depending on the swell size, direction and tide. Works best on the lower tides. The wave starts far up the reef, peeling too fast to ride, then enters the takeoff section where it slows down enough to catch, as it begins to bend into the bay in a long flawless speed line, brushed clean by the offshore SE tradewinds.
