Jarawa Point Surf Guide
On the east side of Little Andaman is Jarawa Point, a long left pointbreak. The wave faces south, and is somewhat sheltered from swell, needing a more south angle to pick up the energy. Unlike the other waves in this area, the reef at Jarawa is rocks and not coral. A shelf reef that extends into the Indian Ocean at the north end of Hut Bay.Hut Bay is the only town of any significance on Little Andaman Island, but few tourists come to this region, so the facilities are rudimentary. But, if there is a good south swell running, who cares where we're staying? This is a great wave for full-on ripping. Surfable at all tides, it has several clean and fast sections before running out into deeper water.
