Freshwater Surf Guide

A south facing beach that is protected from summer northeast wind, Freshwater Beach is often closed out, but can offer a decent right in the southern corner of the beach, as well as a left that can run back to the rocks. In terms of its relevance to Australian surf history and culture, this is the first place Duke Kahanamoku officially rode the first wave Down Under.
