False Pass Surf Guide
It's called "False Pass" because it really does look like a pass, but it really isn't. It's actually an indentation along the barrier reef that, from sea, looks like it would allow entry into the lagoon. It doesn't, but it can create a barreling left, always catching more swell than anywhere else. It's worth a check on small, windless days. It's not a very long wave, but barrels are the go here. The reef is shallow, sharp reef, so surf with caution. A consistent, fun, reliable spot that's never totally flat, but it can't hold a lot of swell either.
