Edisto Beach Surf Guide
Edisto Beach State Park is one long stretch of beautiful beaches and rural surroundings. Much potential, but it's usually no good due to offshore sandbars from the outflow of the North and South Edisto Rivers. Every once in a while, an offshore sandbar will form and become exposed at low tide. Exposed to all directions -- if the swell can get through. Best at high tide. Offshore sandbars are best at low tide. Edisto's beaches are often steeper/shorebreaker than nearby beaches, and this can render Botany Bay or Jeremy Creek the only options. If you walk north a mile from Edisto State Park, you can find some sandspit waves near Jeremy Creek.
